How Does The Process Work?

Short Version: SMOOTHLY but also VERY EARLY for good reason!

 

Long Version: we’ve heard thousands of horror last-minute rental or big box horror stories and we refuse to operate that way—we think you’ll be happy that’s the case! We do everything on a structured schedule several months before the wedding to ensure you, the couple, and our team have a great experience.  We don’t do anything last minute! This allows us a buffer against all the surprises that can pop-up—like full appointment calendars, product backorders, tailoring backlogs, and logistics challenges. We’ll make it easy for you, you just need to keep the schedule.

How Will You Purchase?

We Have Two Distinct Ways to Shop:

  1. Book an Appointment Early: First things first, you’ll need to be sure you get an appointment scheduled, all visits to our shops require an appointment and they often book several weeks in advance. We have a deadline for scheduling that is typically 5 months before the wedding. If your couple has already booked a Group Fitting that you plan to attend, no need to schedule. However, if you are uncertain about being able to attend the Group Fitting we recommend you schedule a separate fitting so you can be sure you can get in before the purchase deadline.

  2. Get Fitted and Purchase at Your Appointment: at your appointment we’ll discuss the products you’ll need to purchase, the items that are optional, and get into the details of how you’d like your suit to fit. At the end you will purchase your suit, schedule your pick-up appointment, or arrange to have your items shipped to you. We have a purchase deadline that is typically at least 4 months before the wedding. The vast majority of our couples have their group purchase our Tailored Suits—that means in-stock suits that are altered (aka tailored) to fit. We carry as many as 58 different sizes and offer a handful of alterations (sold separately) to get your fitting how you like. At your fitting your Pursuit Specialist will want to be sure they help you find the very best combination of size and alterations for you to achieve your desired fit.

  3. Pick-Up and Confirm the Fit: getting the fit right and knowing long before the wedding is what makes this process stress-free for us all. Your pick-up appointment should only take 15 minutes and it allows us to confirm you are all set long before the wedding. If you don’t live near our shops we are happy to ship your products to you after alterations so long as you agree to try them on as soon as they arrive and confirm the fit to us. We have a pick-up / fit confirmation deadline that is typically at least 3 months before the wedding to be sure there are no last minute surprises or issues we can’t resolve.

  4. Enjoy the Wedding Date: we have an amazing success rate with repeat customers because most people love their Pursuit suit, how it fits, and their experience with us—that means you look and feel your best on the wedding day!

  5. Your Next Suit Is Easy, You Can Skip the Fitting: so long as you want your next suit to fit just like this one, you can select any other color in the collection, we can tailor it the same, and we can deliver it straight to your door without needing to visit a shop. Of course, you’re always welcome to book an appointment

Important Things To Know…

  • This is your suit to keep, we don’t do rentals, we want you to love your suit so you’ll be excited to wear it for years to come
  • Alterations come with additional cost but it is up to you to decide what alterations you wish to purchase
  • All visits to our store are done By Appointment Only and our calendar is often full many weeks in advance, for that reason you’ll need to have an appointment booked by the Scheduling Deadline so there are no issues getting fitted on time for the purchase deadline
  • If your group qualifies for an On-Time Group Discount it is important you plan and schedule on time as your discount will expire on the Wedding Purchase Deadline. This is our way of rewarding you for keeping the timeline that allows for a stress-free experience for you, us, and the hundreds of other weddings we work with each year—don’t let a full calendar or other surprises cause you to miss your discount, book early!

  1. Get Your Measurements: our suits come in as many as 58 sizes to be able to get nearly everyone a really great fit. In order to best find your size ordering on our website you’ll need to get a few basic measurements. Some fitted clothes, one helper and a cloth measuring tape should get you what your need.   2. Order Online Using Our Recommended Sizes: use our Size Finder Tool to combine your measurements and fit preferences into recommended sizes. Seriously, we know how our suits fit differently than the rest of the industry, trust our recommendations to avoid unnecessary exchanges. If you have questions, reach out, let us help. If your items are in-stock they’ll usually arrive to you in around a 7-10 days.

  3. Open the Box and Be Sure The Sizes Are Right: try-on your items, be sure the fit is very close. Keep in mind alterations are the key to making a suit that fits ok into a suit that fits great.   4. Take it To Your Local Tailor ASAP: a few alterations and the suit will fit like it is yours. Keep in mind, at the very least, that every single pair of pants will need to be hemmed to the right length—it’s a simple and inexpensive alterations that will make our unfinished length pants just right for your height and preference. In our shops most customers opt to have other alterations done as well to dial in the fit precisely, but that is up to you. Keep in mind you are customers ordering online must use their own local tailor, bringing the suit to us before the wedding is not an option, we only alter suits we sell in store.

  5. Confirm the Fit: let us know you’re all set so we can inform the couple when the group is all ready! Future Pursuit suits you’ll know the sizes you need to order and how you’ll want to get them tailored!
